One of the finest Buddhist temples in South-east Asia . Kek Lok Si temple stands majestically on a hill in Air Itam. This temple built in tiers culminates the beautifully crafted ''Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas''. It took more than 20 years to build which features gardens, a turtle pond, shrines and beautiful sculptures. There are many souvenir shops leading up to the temple which offers good buys. And as for food lovers, famous hawker food are lined up near the Air Itam market.
How to get there?
You can take public bus RapidPenang U201 or U203 or U204 from Weld Quay (ferry terminal) via Komtar. You need to stop at Jalan Pasar / Kek Lok Si.

Penang Road (Malay: Jalan Penang) is a famous attraction in George Town . There are a lot of shop houses which sell a lot of stuff ranging from bags, clothing, watches and also some local fruits and cakes. You can also take a trishaw ride as there are a lot of trishaw riders along the Penang road. There is a some pre-war shop houses still being preserved and used until today.

Campbell Street

Campbell Street is one of the city's busiest shopping precincts. The shops here sell handbags, shoes, clothes and electrical products. Some interesting shops along the street are Chinese medicine halls and teahouses. Campbell Street also has its share of restaurants and dim sum shops. Among the noted are Thor Yuen, a popular chicken rice shop, and Indian Muslim restaurants like Hameediyah.

Khoo Kongsi
Area : Town Area ( George Town )

Fees : RM5 for Adult and RM1 for Children

Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, or Khoo Kongsi for short, is one of the most distinctive Chinese clan associations in Malaysia . It is well known worldwide for its extensive lineage that can be traced back 650 years, as well as its closely-knit and defensive congregation of buildings and a magnificent clanhouse.
How to get there?
You can take public bus RapidPenang RapidPenang U105 from Weld Quay (ferry terminal) / RapidPenang U301 or U302 from Weld Quay (ferry terminal) or from Bayan Baru (South of Penang). You need to stop at the Kapitan Keling Mouseq (or the intersection of Jalan Kampung Kolam and Jalan Masjid Keling). Then you need to walk along Cannon lane around 200m before reaching Khoo Kongsi.

Gurney Drive have one of the best view of Penang sunset, is a favorite among families and lovers. This coastline stretch is a upmarket residential area, many bungalow lots, hotels, condominiums, and a shopping complex. Yet, in early mornings, people can be seen taking their walks along the coastline and have their breakfast at the restaurants there. Families enjoy spending time or flying kites. In the evening, crowds will flock to the famous hawker food stalls at the roundabout, and lovers can be seen strolling along the coast.
