G Hotel, Penang’s brand new stylish hotel, has unveiled ‘Sesame + Soy’, a Pan Asian Chinese restaurant that offers a luxurious new dining experience for the most discerning food connoisseurs about town. Sesame + Soy’s uniqueness lie in its dual
dining ambience in one space. Sesame is the epitome of fine dining while Soy is casual yet elegant. Both specialize in tantalising fusion contemporary and classic Chinese cuisine.

Located on the first floor of G Hotel, Sesame + Soy is comfortably spread across two spacious dining rooms, each with stylish interiors. Soy comes across as a modern Asian bistro, infused with a hint of Zen that complements its casual vibe. Its natural setting is adorned with bamboo dividers and white clam-shell chairs, lending an air of sophistication to
its dining experience.

Soy offers a scrumptious menu with a wide selection of tempting delicacies that are moderately priced. Guests who taste their heavenly Roast Duck and Yam Spring Rolls will certainly be coming back for more. From Fresh Crab Rolls + Sweet and Spicy Mango Chutney to Seared Prawn Glass Noodles + Cincalok Dressing, the menu’s luscious fusion of Asian taste buds is an adventure in itself.

Where Soy is somewhat casual, Sesame is the more formal of the two. Decorated in rich shades of mahogany brown, Sesame exudes elegance beyond what is normally expected of a Chinese restaurant. With comfortable plush chairs and soft glowing lights overhead, Sesame conveys a mood of pure, posh luxury to its diners.

Sesame’s dishes offer a balanced mix of exciting modern creations and classic Chinese dishes. Soft Shell Crabs drizzled with Home-made XO Sauce and Wok Tossed Pork Ribs served with Flash Fried Asparagus will certainly tantalise your taste buds to the peak. Fascinating variants include Wasabi Prawns, Home-made Spinach Tofu with Chinese Mushrooms, and a Confit of Norwegian Salmon served with Black Bean Sauce.

From Penang International Aiport:
You can take the limousine or taxi which are available at the arrival hall. You need to buy the ticket from a Limousine/Taxi Ticketing Counter which is just in front of you once you stepped out from the arrival hall. Alternately you can also take public bus Rapid Penang U401 and U401E to Weld Quay direction. You need to stop at Weld Quay and switch to Rapid Penang U103 which is heading to Tanjung Bungah. You need stop at Jalan Kelawai/Gurney Plaza. Just take a short walk to Gurney Plaza and you will find G Hotel just beside Gurney Plaza shopping mall.
 

From Weld Quay (Penang Ferry Terminal):
You can take a taxi which is available at the front of the ferry terminal. Alternatively, you can take public bus Rapid Penang U103 which is heading to Tanjung Bungah. You need stop at Jalan Kelawai/Gurney Plaza. Just take a short walk to Gurney Plaza and you will find G Hotel just beside Gurney Plaza shopping mall.
 
From Sungai Nibong Express Bus Terminal:
You can take a taxi which is available at the bus terminal. Alternatively, you can take public bus Rapid Penang T304 to Persiaran Gurney.
 
Driving there:
If you are driving from Penang bridge / Penang International Airport, please drive along Jelutong Expressway towards Georgetown. Following the road sign which lead you to Gurney Drive. G Hotel is just along the Persiaran Gurney / Gurney Drive which is just besides the Gurney Plaza shopping mall.
It will take around 50mins if you drive from Penang International Airport.
It will take around 20mins if you drive from Georgetown.
