G Hotel has upped the ante in Penang’s social scene as it unveils G Lounge – an uber chill bar that is set to be the island city’s coolest spot. Emerging seamlessly from the hotel’s main reception as guests traverse G Hotel’s lobby concourse, G Lounge can comfortably seat 60.

Checking in and out of G Hotel will be an inviting experience as guests can adjourn to the G Lounge to enjoy light snacks and drinks while the reception attends to the formalities. Also available are tantalizing snacks to satiate the culinary senses, making
a visit to G Lounge an epicurean experience not to be missed.

Set on a raised under-lit platform, G lounge exudes understated elegance, punctuated by stylish designer furniture including Kartell’s ‘Spoon chair’ and Cappellini’s ‘Felt chair’. The bar itself is the epicentre of attraction utilizing cutting-edge technology
and bold interior detailing to portray a stunning visual centrepiece at G Hotel’s grand lobby.

Tilted black mirrors at the back, multi-coloured lights illuminating from the bar counter emanates dazzling luminosity. This captivating light effect reaches its pinnacle when the sun slips beneath the horizon, creating a hip ambient for trendy
urbanites and hotel guests to mingle and chill.

How to get there

 

 

From Penang International Aiport:
You can take the limousine or taxi which are available at the arrival hall. You need to buy the ticket from a Limousine/Taxi Ticketing Counter which is just in front of you once you stepped out from the arrival hall. Alternately you can also take public bus Rapid Penang U401 and U401E to Weld Quay direction. You need to stop at Weld Quay and switch to Rapid Penang U103 which is heading to Tanjung Bungah. You need stop at Jalan Kelawai/Gurney Plaza. Just take a short walk to Gurney Plaza and you will find G Hotel just beside Gurney Plaza shopping mall.
 

From Weld Quay (Penang Ferry Terminal):
You can take a taxi which is available at the front of the ferry terminal. Alternatively, you can take public bus Rapid Penang U103 which is heading to Tanjung Bungah. You need stop at Jalan Kelawai/Gurney Plaza. Just take a short walk to Gurney Plaza and you will find G Hotel just beside Gurney Plaza shopping mall.
 
From Sungai Nibong Express Bus Terminal:
You can take a taxi which is available at the bus terminal. Alternatively, you can take public bus Rapid Penang T304 to Persiaran Gurney.
 
Driving there:
If you are driving from Penang bridge / Penang International Airport, please drive along Jelutong Expressway towards Georgetown. Following the road sign which lead you to Gurney Drive. G Hotel is just along the Persiaran Gurney / Gurney Drive which is just besides the Gurney Plaza shopping mall.
It will take around 50mins if you drive from Penang International Airport.
It will take around 20mins if you drive from Georgetown.
